How Does the Compass Wallet Work?
Compass Wallet is currently available as a browser extension and mobile app that allows you to manage your assets on Sei securely and efficiently and connect with all the apps, NFT & gaming projects on both sides of Sei.
Importing your existing Rainbow Wallet into Compass

If you already have an existing Rainbow wallet, you can import it into Compass 👇
- Install Compass and head over to your pinned Rainbow Wallet
- Unlock your existing Rainbow Wallet and click on
…menu from the top right corner of the Rainbow screen.
- Click on settings then “
🔑 Wallet and Keys” option and head over toWallet and Keysmanagement section.
- Click on the wallet group you want to import into Compass.
- Now click on
…besides your wallet name to view your private key on Rainbow
- Continue ahead with option to “Show your private key” and enter your password to view your private key.
- Copy this private key to import it into Compass.
- Click on “Import EVM wallet”. You can import your existing Rainbow Wallet into Compass Wallet by selecting the option “Other EVM wallets”
- Now enter your private key here inside this box and click on “Import EVM wallet”
- Create a password to encrypt your wallet. Choose a strong password that you will remember.
- Your wallet is now set up and ready to use. You can access it by clicking on the Compass wallet icon in your browser's toolbar. If you are using Chrome, the icon will be located in the top right corner of your browser. If you cannot find the icon, look for a "puzzle piece" icon and click on it to access a list of installed extensions. There, you should find Compass Wallet and you can click on the "pin icon" to pin it to your toolbar for easy access in the future.
- Now, link your addresses to explore Sei v2. Read more about linking addresses. Click on “Link Addresses” option to proceed to the Sei portal. Now, connect your wallet to Sei dApp.
- Scroll a bit downwards and complete the captcha mentioned under the “Addresses” section.
- After captcha completion, approve a transaction to complete your addresses linking transaction and go back to Compass Wallet to refresh and continue your Sei exploration 🔴 💨
